Magna Erasmus            Psychotherapy & Counselling  Service

About

My name is Magna Erasmus

Professionally, I am a trauma psychotherapist, registered with the BACP and NCIP.  My passion and expertise is in woman's relational issues, sexual trauma, infertility, baby loss, miscarriage and menopause.  I have extensive experience in working with people from all walks of life, and have a culturally varied practice.

I work holistically  to help not just the mind heal, but also helps the body process the impact of trauma.  This approach cultivates healing emotionally, spiritually and mentally.

I passionately believe that there is a correlation between self-denial, loosing our sense of self and the suffering we experience in the relationship we not only have with ourself, but also with others.  I believe that when we are authentically ourselves not only do we heal but we become stronger within our selves, we find our voice, which in turn cultivates resilience to bounce back from life's difficulties.

I have learned that people want to heal, want to have a life that is worth loving. There is so much healing in the of telling your story, feeling like your story was heard and understood.   I have helped my clients find emotional healing and make life changes not just in the telling of the story but also to support them to make the changes to create lives that are more content and free. We only have one life, and it is too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled.

I deeply care for the work I do and the support I give my clients.  The therapy I therefore offer is tailored to my clients story and needs.  I am compassionate, caring and able to hold space for you and your story.  Let me help you find your path to healing, to develop ways to have a better relationship with yourself and others.
